Biosphère: An Ecological Dystopia at Théâtre Silvia Monfort

Set in the Hautes-Pyrénées in 2025, this play follows an intrepid entrepreneur and a collective of artists and scientists who create the Biosphere, a massive project blending technological prowess, space exploration, and ecological utopia. Five people prepare to lock themselves into this futuristic, closed, and autonomous habitat, designed to reproduce a terrestrial ecosystem on a small scale. As they attempt to live together in total self-sufficiency, they must navigate the challenges of absolute interdependence. This thought-provoking production invites the audience to reflect on the fragility of our environment and the complexity of human coexistence. It is a unique theatrical experience that pushes the boundaries of sci-fi storytelling on stage.
