Provenance Research – Questioning Objects, Finding Answers

Curated by Friederike Klose, this exhibition at the Zitadelle Spandau explores the responsibility, curiosity, and desire for knowledge that drive research into the origins of museum pieces. A significant highlight is the planned restitution of an object to its rightful owner, showcasing the tangible impact of these studies. Visitors are invited to examine how we interrogate the past to resolve questions of ownership and legacy.
