Colonial Biographies from Lichtenberg – Workshop Exhibition

Building on previous research regarding the colonial connections of the Friedrichsfelde estate and the Karlshorst 'Burenviertel', this new exhibition at the Museum Lichtenberg sheds light on another lesser-known facet of local colonial history. The focus lies on the life stories of individuals from Lichtenberg whose biographies were intertwined with German colonial history in Asia and Africa. Among these figures are a politician, a nurse, and a veterinarian, providing a personal perspective on a complex historical legacy.
