Once a grand upper-middle-class summer residence, today the Schwartzsche Villa stands as a prominent cultural center in the heart of the community. Having existed for 125 years, the building has witnessed a diverse and eventful history.
This exhibition presents the history of the house and the banking family Schwartz who commissioned its construction between 1895 and 1897. Through photographs, architectural drawings, and original documents, the exhibition traces the building's transformation after 1945 and its long journey toward becoming the cultural hub it is today.
