The Nazi Forced Labour Documentation Centre presents a poignant biographical exhibition focusing on the life of Hélène Fauriat. A member of the French Resistance, Fauriat was arrested by the Gestapo in 1944 and deported to the Ravensbrück concentration camp.
The exhibition details her subsequent transfer to the Henschel-Werke forced labor subcamp in Schönefeld. This project was developed by students of the Amy-Johnson-Gymnasium in cooperation with historical experts.
It offers a vital look at individual courage and the grim reality of forced labor during the National Socialist era.
