About

This poignant exhibition, organized by the Amy-Johnson-Gymnasium in collaboration with the Documentation Center for Nazi Forced Labor, tells the story of Hélène Fauriat (1918–1999). A brave fighter in the French Résistance, she was arrested by the Gestapo in June 1944 for her anti-occupation activities. The exhibit documents her subsequent deportation to the Ravensbrück concentration camp and her eventual transfer to the Henschel-Werke subcamp in Schönefeld. It serves as an important historical record of individual courage during the darkest chapter of the 20th century.
