Lecture: Urban Renewal in Conflict - Rykestraße and Prenzlauer Berg in the Late GDR

City historian Kathrin Meißner explores the conflicts and compromises surrounding urban development in the Prenzlauer Berg district during the 1980s. Despite widespread decay, plans for renewal, demolition, and modernization were constant topics of debate in the late GDR.
