Musica di strada – Italians in Prenzlauer Berg

This special exhibition explores the migration history of Italians who moved from the northern mountains to Berlin between 1861 and 1914. Seeking better working conditions, thousands settled in the Prenzlauer Berg district, bringing their traditional crafts, trade skills, and music with them. Through historical artifacts and narratives, the exhibition highlights how these communities shaped the cultural and economic landscape of the neighborhood. The display has been extended through June 2026 due to popular demand.
