Gefühlsdinge – How to Listen to Objects

The New Synagogue Berlin - Centrum Judaicum presents 'Gefühlsdinge,' an exhibition that shifts the focus from owning objects to listening to them. In a rapidly changing world, this project explores how emotions and memories connect Jewish communities with historical artifacts. Jewish Berliners from 14 different countries of origin engage in a dialogue with items from the museum's collection, sharing their personal perspectives. This unique approach brings a human element to history, highlighting the emotional weight carried by physical things. The exhibition challenges visitors to think about social cohesion and the power of shared narratives.
