About
This poignant exhibition at the Nazi Forced Labor Documentation Center chronicles the life of Hélène Fauriat, a member of the French Résistance. Arrested by the Gestapo in 1944 for her defiance against German occupation, Fauriat was deported to Ravensbrück before being transferred to a subcamp in Schönefeld. The display focuses on her time as a forced laborer at the Henschel-Werke, providing a deeply personal look at the systemic cruelty of the era. Developed in cooperation with local students, the project serves as both a historical record and a tribute to individual courage. It is an important educational experience that sheds light on a dark chapter of local and international history.
