Monument of Oblivion: River of Lethe

For the 2025/26 program year, artist Neda Saeedi was selected to realize a site-specific work at the Klosterruine. Her sound installation explores the profound question of how we remember at historical sites and who is excluded from these narratives. The work challenges visitors to consider how we deal with violent histories and missing monuments in our contemporary culture. By engaging with the past in this unique architectural setting, the artist asks whether we can truly shape the future. It is a thought-provoking experience that blends sound and history in the haunting atmosphere of a ruined monastery.
