History Between Us. The Niederkirchner Family – A Contradictory Legacy

Museum Pankow presents "History Between Us. The Niederkirchner Family – A Contradictory Legacy," shedding light on the complex history of a family that left a significant mark on the GDR. Käte Niederkirchner (1909–1944) was an icon of antifascist resistance, with institutions and even a ship named in her honor. Today, two streets and a memorial plaque remain. This exhibition critically examines the contradictory legacy of the Niederkirchners, inviting visitors to engage with a nuanced and often challenging historical narrative. The event takes place at the Museum Pankow - Culture and Education Center Sebastian Haffner. Admission is free.
