About

This powerful exhibition at the Documentation Center for Nazi Forced Labor tells the story of Hélène Fauriat (1918–1999), a courageous French Resistance fighter. Organized in cooperation with the Amy-Johnson-Gymnasium, the exhibit chronicles her arrest by the Gestapo in 1944 for her anti-Nazi activities, her deportation to Ravensbrück, and her subsequent forced labor at the Henschel-Werke camp in Schönefeld. It is a vital historical account that honors her memory and highlights the human stories behind the horrors of forced labor during the Nazi regime.
