About
Delve into the provocative world of Helga Goetze in this exhibition at the Museum Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in der Villa Oppenheim. In 1983, the feminist magazine COURAGE noted the difficulty in approaching Goetze, yet featured her interview, describing her as an "older woman standing on the street... shouting the word 'Fuck' at everyone." At 61, she was establishing herself as an "unavoidable disruptor" in 1980s West Berlin through provocative actions, holding almost daily vigils near the Gedächtniskirche. This exhibition showcases her impactful presence and artistic activism. Admission is free.
