Die Villa Schwartz

Once a grand summer residence for the bourgeoisie and today a vibrant cultural center, the Schwartzsche Villa has a rich history spanning over 125 years. This exhibition presents the history of the villa and the Schwartz banking family, who commissioned the building between 1895 and 1897. Through a collection of photographs, architectural drawings, and original documents, visitors can explore the evolution of the estate. The display also chronicles the tumultuous history of the building after 1945 and its long, challenging path to becoming the cultural hub it is today.
