The Berlin Jazz Composers Orchestra, also known as JayJayBeCe (short for JugendJazzBand Charlottenburg), was founded in 1987 by Christof Griese at the Charlottenburg Music School. The orchestra was established with the unique mission of exclusively composing, arranging, and performing works by Berlin-based jazz musicians.
