Concert 'Sahel Roots'

Sahel Roots brings the authentic sounds of Mali to Barcelona, bridging the gap between traditional and contemporary African music. The duo consists of singer and percussionist Alassane Samaké and Adama Sidibé, who plays the djourou kelen and soukous. Founded in 2019, the band draws inspiration from the Sahel region and the desert, creating a rhythmic and hypnotic live experience. Their lyrics tackle everyday life in Mali, addressing themes such as colonialism, taxes, and social challenges.
